Overview of Leg 2 – Special Stage 2 (SS2)
Held on Friday, 5 December 2025, Leg 2 of the Inisiasi Rally Raid Adventure 2025 brought competitors into the second major competitive segment of the rally: Special Stage 2 (SS2). With the momentum from the opening stage still fresh, SS2 tested not only outright speed, but also endurance, terrain adaptation, and consistency across differing landscapes.
As teams began Leg 2, the standings remained close following SS1, creating strategic pressure for both MOTO and AUTO categories. The day’s stage would again reshuffle the leaderboard as riders and drivers navigated diverse terrain and time control challenges.
Stage Characteristics & Terrain Conditions
SS2 introduced a fresh combination of terrain types including compact dirt, broken gravel, plantation paths, and flowing high-speed sections. The route demanded both precision and aggression, especially in the mid-stage where surface transitions frequently shifted traction levels.
Weather and visibility played a role as well, with dust from early competitors affecting those farther back in the starting order. Navigation accuracy around time controls was crucial, as minor penalties introduced measurable differences in the standings.
Leg 2 Results – MOTO Category
The MOTO division continued to deliver tight competition on SS2, with strong performances shaping the evolving leaderboard. Sandy Arief Aritonang maintained his impressive pace, once again displaying consistency and precision in technical areas. Azfar Rifaie Saifullah and Eko Julianto followed closely, keeping pressure on the front runners as the rally advanced into deeper stages.
